    Support Worker– Supported Accommodation - Ely

    Job Description: We are looking for caring, compassionate, and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team.

    About the Role: Our goal is to provide specialized quality care for young people aged 16-18 years old. The main role of our support workers is to make a positive impact on the lives of the young individuals residing in our homes. Your focus will be on helping them achieve a happy and fulfilling life that promotes independence, education, and overall well-being. We believe in involving Young People in all decisions regarding their lives, empowering them to take charge of their future. You will collaborate with a close-knit team of colleagues to establish a strong relationship and trust with the young person in the residence. Your responsibilities will include assisting them in acquiring essential skills for independent living and supporting their transition into adulthood.

    Shift Patterns: Our shift patterns are flexible and vary based on the home's requirements. Typical shifts may range from 9 am to 10 pm. All staff members are expected to be available for sleep-in shifts, with a maximum of three per week unless opting for additional shifts.

    Essential:

    • Legal right to work in the UK
    • Flexible availability on weekends
    • Naturally caring, with a strong desire to offer exceptional support to children
    • Ability to maintain accurate records in a person-centered, factual manner
    • Commitment to operating safely and ensuring compliance with regulations for the well-being and trust of our young individuals
    • Willingness to participate in training sessions and expand your knowledge
    • Effective communication, excellent written skills, and fluency in English
    • Positive mindset with a problem-solving attitude in challenging scenarios
    • Dependable with excellent time management skills
    • Competent in lone working

    Desirable:

    • Prior experience in working with young people or in social care
    • Background in lone working with young individuals
    • Basic knowledge of Ofsted
    • Childcare qualification such as NVQ
