Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Warehouse Operators to join The Macallan Distillery.

As a key member of the warehousing team, you will carry out a variety of tasks involving New Make Spirit, Mature Spirit and Cask Quality and Compliance with a dayshift and backshift in place to support delivery of operational requirements.

You will lead by example and ensure all aspects of operations are carried out safely, in an efficient manner and to the highest quality standard.

The role reports to the Warehouse Operations Team Leader and covers Macallan and Parkmore sites.
Job Description
Reporting to Warehouse Team Leader - New Make Spirit, key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for day-to-day warehouse security.
  • Responsible for overall warehousing standards.
  • Identify, plan and support the training and development of warehouse operators.
  • Ensure team delivers KPI's safely, efficiently and to the highest standard at all times by following documented procedures.
  • Organise day to day activities of team and delegate tasks accordingly.
  • Direct warehousing tasks as a member of the team.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement.
  • Decide on action to be taken in the event of daytoday warehouse operational problems.
  • Loading and unloading full and empty casks from transport vehicles.
  • Filling casks with New Make Spirit.
  • Filling casks with Mature Spirit as part of a racking operation
  • Responsible for tanker receipt, loading and despatch.
  • Responsible for spirit accounts and reduction.
  • Cask sampling.
  • Cask regauging.
  • Disgorging mature casks.
  • Cask destowing and stowing.
  • Using a barcode gun system to track cask movements, casks details and operational events.
  • Using a variety of computer systems to ensure traceability of maturing stock and samples.
  • Monitor cask conditions during the maturation process and take action to minimise losses.
  • Operating equipment such as FLT, tractor/trailer, stacker.
  • Identify and report any warehouse, equipment maintenance requirements.
Skills and Experience

You should be willing and eager to be part of a high performing team, bringing a good work ethic and positive attitude to the role.

Applicants should be comfortable undertaking the manual tasks required within this role and have experience of using various warehouse computer systems.
