A fantastic opportunity has become available for a full time pro-active Estimator to join a high growth property development company based in South Wales.

The company is expected to deliver over 250 homes per year over the next couple of years with resources to grow to over 500 homes per year in the foreseeable future.


The position is for an experienced and motivated individual that wishes to progress in their career and join a company with exciting future growth prospects.

The company is land-led and on frameworks, which means estimating will be required for early-stage opportunities, right through to full detailed tenders, offering a diverse and interesting workflow.

This position is for working Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5pm.


The main duties and responsibilities will be to manage the estimating of pipeline projects that the company is working on.

The company focuses on sites between 20-50 unit in size and predominately new build residential housing. You must have experience estimating residential projects including timber frame and traditional. Experience with steel frame and social housing will be desirable.

The role reports directly to our Commercial Manager with support from our Land, Technical, Commercial and Construction teams throughout.


Required Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience as an estimator or senior estimator
  • Experience of successfully estimating a range of projects from sizes in units, New build.
  • Must be a driven, motivated and proactive individual
  • Full driving licence and able to work from Swansea HQ
  • Can adhere to deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the teams on new opportunities, conducting initial appraisals
  • Thinking about and providing solutions for value engineering.
  • Conduct takeoffs and measurements.
  • Produce full breakdowns and bill of quantities.
  • Complete further cost plans as the opportunity progresses.
  • Help identify potential risks and abnormals.
  • Liaise with the buyer and commercial team to understand live rates
  • Review existing and historical cost data to draw assumptions from.
  • Preparation of tender submission documents to subcontractors
  • Working with finance teams to understand project profitability and potential cash flowing.
  • Attend site visits when required.

Salary:
£50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
+ Excellent Bonus scheme.
