Our amazing children are looking for a maternity cover Learning Mentor to help them learn, laugh, feel happy and be safe.

Are you that person?

We are seeking to appoint a committed Learning Mentor and Pupil Support Worker to cover our current outstanding post holder who is going off on maternity leave.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an individual to join our thriving, forward thinking and passionate School and help us ensure all our children are provided with every opportunity to succeed.

If possible, a period of handover would occur where you would work with the current postholder and meet with our wonderful children and families.

As Learning Mentor your job will be to ensure that any barriers to learning are identified and overcome.

The key purpose of your role would be to work closely with our staff and alongside our children and their families, providing high quality care, advice and support.

You will be working with children who are in Nursery, Reception, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two; from a variety of backgrounds.

You will be committed to pastoral care, collaborative team work and flexible working. Nurture training would be desirable.

The role involves providing a small breakfast club for identified children and to support and direct our dinner time staff over the lunch time period.

You will be confident in communicating with a variety of professionals in different contexts including face to face meetings and using ICT to keep accurate records.

Working closely with the Headteacher, who is the DSL, you will play a key role in implementing effective support strategies where a commitment to a 'child-centered nurturing' ethos is essential.

Moor End Community Primary School provides a professional, warm and friendly environment that strives to continuously improve the standards for our children's education and life experiences.

It is a vibrant and caring community full of amazing children and dedicated staff. A commitment to our ethos and inclusivity must be a given.
