Mid-Level Python Developer - Manchester / Remote (£60k - £70k)
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mid-Level Python Developer work on an award-winning, very sophisticated software suite handling "Bid Data" in the
Fintechsector.
Working
remotely with only
occasional office visit to their Manchester office (once a month), this role is paying between
£60k and £70k per year + pension, private healthcare, life assurance etc.

Established more than a decade ago, this FinTech company has created a suite of next-generation analytics and optimisation software tools, designed to address the challenges around 'Big Data' in the Financial Services space.
They work with global financialinstitutions, providing cloud-based and on-premise technology solutions to deliver real-time intraday cash, collateral and liquidity management capabilities.

Sunday Times Tech Track 100 as the highest ranking FinTech and North-West based firm; having been named a
finalist in the Northern Tech Awards, as well as being awarded the
RegTech of the Year in the US FinTech Awards 2021, this is a company that is going places.
THE ROLE:
- "If you are the smartest person on the room, you are in the wrong room"._ With a strong contingent of Lead and Senior Python software engineers on the team, you be surrounded by highly skilled individuals who not only have the will and capacity tohelp you get to grips with their sophisticated and complex products, but also to help develop and improve your abilities.
In addition to the development of new modules for their flagship product, you will also get involved in one of the many new development initiatives that they have set out in their three year product roadmap.
- Requirements analysis and software design
- Software development (fullstack, fulllifecycle)
- Troubleshooting development and production problems

REQUIREMNETS:
- A minimum of 5 years programming experience, approximately two of which must be in Python.
- Sound SQL skills
- Relevant University Degree
- Exposure to logic programming (Prolog, OWL)
- Familiarity with containers (Docker) and VMs (Vagrant)
- Exposure to database optimisation
- Familiarity with continuous integration (CI)
- Experience with automated testing
