- Ensure NHBC complies with all CDM responsibilities as Client.
- Make decisions on appropriate way of managing health and safety risk on NHBC repairs.
- Assign CDM duties to appropriate internal teams, take on CDM duties or appoint & oversee and external consultant.
- Manage the flow of health and safety information between clients, designers and contractors.
- Advise the on the suitability of the initial construction phase plan and the arrangements made to ensure that welfare facilities are on site from the start.
- Managing CDM and Health & safety on large repair jobs.
- Working with Designers and Contractors on repair jobs.
- General Construction Knowledge.
- Write technical reports applicable to the knowledge of the receiving party.
- Able to influence and deal with potential disagreements in a confident manner that maintains relationships.

£52,000 - £57,000 up to 10% bonus per annum + company car.Working Location: Nationwide – Regular meetings at our Milton Keynes head office are required.

Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
Regular travel across the UK is required – Holding a valid driving licence is essential for the role.
Responsible for ensuring NHBC complies with its obligations under CDM2015 as Client and Principal Designer where repairs are carried out on our behalf by approved contractors or Builder Customers.
The role also has oversight over all internal and external CDM appointments for Principal Designer and Principal Contractor on NHBC repair jobs, carrying out suitable audits to guarantee compliance.
