Description

Law firm's Financial Regulation team is independently recognised as first-rate, known for their client focus and pragmatic approach in complicated situations.

They are specialists with deep sector knowledge, advising payment and e-money firms, TPPs, payment processors, and banks on payments systems and underlying infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Work alongside Top Partner in our FS Reg team, renowned for proactive engagement in payments innovation and open banking industries.
Provide regulatory advice on payment services by both bank and nonbank PSPs and emoney issuers.
Combine technical accuracy with pragmatism and empathy towards client teams.
Become an integrated member of the wider Financial Regulation team, offering support and learning opportunities.

Requirements:

Understanding of the regulatory framework for payment services and emoney businesses.
Familiarity with UK and European payment systems.
Experience in advising on new product launches and drafting customer terms and conditions.
Knowledge of corporate transactional work and commercial contracts, with the ability to draft regulatory provisions.
Clear and concise communication skills, adaptable to busy executives.
Flexibility to meet clients' deadlines and take ownership of matters to drive them to conclusion.
Good business hygiene with regard to time recording, billing, and client management.
Proactive involvement in business development initiatives and proposal preparation.
