    Description
    The Head of Design
    • Consulting & Research at Oxford Economics is a creative professional that manages the brand, visuals, and creative endeavours.
    Responsibilities of the role are to build a cohesive vision for the entire business and to ensure that any client-facing visual epitomises that brand. On an operational level, the role oversees the regular pool of external designers currently used.


    The role would encompass:
    Building and integrating the overall brand guidelines for the business.

    This would include overseeing the development of templates and software solutions to enable production staff to adhere to these guidelines.

    Regularly updating brand guidelines as the brand and the business change.
    Identifying, liaising, and managing external designers and linking them with internal project managers. Implementing a new ticket system to manage workloads effectively.
    Expanding both in numbers and skills the pool of external designers who are available to work with Oxford Economics.
    Being the lead report designer as well as QA externals' work.
    Providing advice on design rules and tips for improving design to production staff.


    Skills required:


    Strong communication skills to work with both third parties and internal colleagues to set expectations, brief them, and check in with them on the progress of work.

    Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to effectively approve work quickly without compromising on the details.
    A fundamental understanding of design theories, design concepts, and how they might apply to current projects.
    Stay up-to-date on new trends, techniques, and how the world views different visual communication.
