Head of Finance


Salary:
£50,000 - £60,000


Location:
Based at TWT Logistic, Ystrad Mynach, with travel to other sites based in Andover and Essex.

TWT Logistics Group is a high-quality provider of transport solutions in the South Wales, Hampshire and North London areas.

We have recently become part of a larger group and are the principal business within the Service and Logistics Division of Aquila Food Group.


Together with our reputation for providing exceptional bulk delivery services, we are members of 3 pallet networks and also provide storage and warehouse services including unloading of shipping containers and repackaging for onward delivery.

Our philosophy is to work closely with our customers to develop an extensive understanding of their unique business needs. This enables us to deliver bespoke logistics solutions, which provide distinct value with measurable results.


The Role


We have an exciting opportunity to join our, fast growing transport group that has locations in Wales, Andover and Essex with a turnover in excess of £25m.


We are seeking a Head of Finance to report directly into the Divisional CEO with dotted line reporting to the Group CFO and make a real contribution to our ambitious team in taking the lead across the finance teams within the division.


The main aspects of the role include:

  • Leadership of the finance functions at team site to optimize efficiencies of the finance structure across the division.
  • Completion of monthly accounts for group submission.
  • Providing daily reporting into group.
  • Working closely with the Divisional CEO on a daytoday basis to ensure the efficient running of the division.
  • Take a proactive approach to identify opportunities for investment, cost reductions, automation.
  • Weekly reporting into the group CEO/CFO.
  • Completion of monthly Group Financial Pack.
  • Production of back up schedules.
  • Deprecation Calculations for 120 vehicles.
  • Working with the group to produce one, two
- and three-year budgets.

  • Working with the group auditors on 3 companies.
  • Accounting for leases under IFRS
  • Manage the finance facility and covenants across 3 sites.
  • Manage the working capital across all three sites.
  • VAT submissions for all companies.
  • HMRC compliance.
  • Overseeing payroll being Sage Professional.
  • Workshop stock monitoring
  • Fuel stock monitoring and purchasing
  • Monitoring credit insurance policies and credit limits

The Person:

  • Strong leader, with excellent team management
  • Proactive approach
  • Drive for achievement
  • Selfmotivator
  • ACCA, CIMA or equivalent is essential.
  • Advanced excel is essential.
  • Industry sector experience would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of general insurance
  • IFRS knowledge of lease accounting.
  • Sage 50 accounts
  • Sage Payroll professional.
  • Willingness to travel to other UK sites within the group.

Salary:
£50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
