We are excited to announce that NHS Scotland is transitioning to a 37-hour working week starting from 1 April 2024 without any changes in pay. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time staff. While some service areas may not immediately shift to the new working hours, you may be required to work an extra 30 minutes per week temporarily until the transition is complete. To take on the role of the Community Mental Health Nurse, applying specialized clinical expertise to guide decision-making and clinical assessment from initial evaluation to discharge. Offer specialized guidance to the multidisciplinary team about patient condition management, treatment, and review planning alongside the patient/carer.
Provide expert advice to healthcare professionals, agencies, carers, clients, and relatives.
Contribute to service development for enhanced practices and collaborate efficiently across healthcare sectors by implementing and assessing evidence-based standards, guidelines, and protocols.
Deliver teaching and mentorship to junior staff and students.
This position mandates PVG Scheme membership/record for the post holder. In case the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (e.g. child and/or adult), an application to Disclosure Scotland must be submitted and approved before assuming the role.
