Shrine Shop Assistant
(part-time position)

We are looking for a shop assistant to work a minimum of 21 hours per week to be part of a friendly team in our Gift Shop and to help ensure a pilgrim's experience in visiting the Shrine of Our Lady is enjoyable and spiritually rewarding.

Key responsibilities will include:

Assisting pilgrims in finding the merchandise they are looking for and assist them with their purchasing in a friendly and courteous manner.
To welcome pilgrims and visitors with authentic enthusiasm and be committed to improving their experience of the Shrine of Our Lady.
To ensure that the Shop shelves are appropriately stocked.
To operate electronic point of sale tills, ensuring that all stock is coded, and sales/stock recorded accurately.
To be able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
To contribute to the overall positive culture of our organisation, which may include contributing to, and occasional working in, other areas within the organisation.

This is an interesting role which would suit someone who enjoys interacting with and helping people with a positive attitude.

Our retail operation is open 7 days a week across the year, and this role will involve weekend and Bank Holiday working.

Pay:
£10.90 per hour

Hours:
Minimum 21 hours per week, including weekends and Bank Holidays

An Enhanced DBS Check will be required for this role.
