Here at Govnet, we're looking for an ambitious and motivated Marketing Executive to join our Sustx team in our Manchester Office for a fixed-term contract for Maternity cover.

About the Portfolio


Sustx launched during the pandemic in 2021, is the Sustainability division of Partnership Media Group (GovNet), which has been serving the UK public and private sector with events and training for over 25 years, a progressive and established media and eventsbusiness with a rich history of driving innovation and collaboration across a range of industries.

Since its inception in 1997, PMG has run over 5,000 events ranging from intimate training courses to large-scale trade shows and has welcomed over 450,000 delegates.


The role

Duties &Responsibilities

Data-Driven Marketing: Identify relevant target markets and learn how to create a 'data universe' for each event by segmenting the company's database through Job title analysis, market mapping and data build planning.

Copy Writing: Using excellent copywriting skills to communicate each event's USPs with relevant calls to action to drive delegate acquisition.

SEO: Conducting on-site and off-site analysis of web SEO competition. Understanding of how to create high-quality SEO content.

Social Media & Content Marketing: Work with the Head of Marketing to help with the execution of our social media strategy to deliver targeted content that drives lead generation and website traffic.

Website Design & WordPress:
  • Using the CMS (WordPress) and analytics training to help manage the event websites and implement changes to drive website improvements.

Industry monitoring: Monitor and communicate the latest industry news and reports to deliver marketing campaigns and audience insights to be used in future campaigns.

Collaborate: With influencers/associations/speaker organisations to form partnerships through 'contra' arrangements that improve product placement and event/brand credibility.


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 1+ years in a marketing position (Preferably within events)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Impeccable spelling, punctuation and grammar skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and targets whilst working under pressure
  • Excellent copywriting skills
