    Job Title: Outreach Navigator

    Job Type: Temporary to permanent

    Location: Birmingham

    Industry: Social Care - Homelessness

    About the position: In this role as an Outreach Navigator in Birmingham, you will be part of an organization dedicated to assisting 16-25 year olds facing homelessness and rough sleeping, helping them overcome barriers to accommodation and guiding them towards a positive trajectory.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Actively engaging with young people in the community daily to offer support and assistance
    • Conducting housing assessments and documentation to prevent homelessness
    • Supporting young individuals with complex needs in maintaining their tenancies and improving their quality of life
    • Ensuring the safety of vulnerable young people through appropriate actions and involvement with relevant services
    • Encouraging vulnerable individuals to transition to suitable accommodation

    Skills & experience required:

    • Demonstrated experience in homelessness support
    • Ability to work outdoors throughout Birmingham as needed
    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary, with compensatory time off
    • Valid Enhanced DBS clearance for Child and Adult services
