We are looking to recruit a Senior Legal Cashier for a permanent opportunity with a highly regarded law firm based in Leeds.


You will be responsible to ensure the day-to-day financial activities of the firm are carried out efficiently and effectively in accordance with the Solicitor Accounts Rules.


Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Verification and processing of client and office accounting transactions through case management systems and banking systems
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Entering supplier invoices
  • Processing receipts and payments (BACs, CHAPs, Cheque)
  • Processing client bills
  • Dealing with petty cash postings & reimbursements
  • Checking completion statements for Conveyancing
  • Working with the Practice Manager to ensure best accounts practices are implemented and followed
  • Assisting in the compliance of Solicitor's Accounts Rules
  • Dealing with enquiries from colleagues, banks and accountants
  • VAT administration and returns
  • Management of the firm's suppliers
  • Monitoring feeearner reports to ensure case account financial activities are accurate, up to date and compliant


The successful individual must have at least 3 years' experience of working as a Legal Cashier in a law firm.


They are ideally looking for someone full time but could be flexible with part-time as long as cover is maintained with their existing part-time legal cashier.


It would be office based at least 3 days per week, but they could consider hybrid for the right person.
