- Coordinate with overseas suppliers and shipping agents to guarantee smooth and prompt transport of goods.
- Validate purchase orders from the merchandising team to ensure timely freight movement.
- Meet all deadlines, manage bookings, track shipments, and negotiate rates and services when needed.
- Input shipping documents into both the manual log and the internal system.
- Ensure all items are shipped according to the agreed dates and approved by the Quality Control team, following up on any issues.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers regarding incoming goods by air, sea, or road, and organize warehouse delivery.
- Generate invoices, packing lists, and handle necessary documentation such as GSP Certificates, Letters of Credit, and Bills of Lading.
- Follow up with suppliers in Far East and Europe regarding delayed shipments and carry out other assigned tasks from the Shipping Manager.
- Review customs entries and calculate landed costs.
- Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of import experience.
- Detail-oriented and proactive approach.
- Operational background in fields like manufacturing, importing/exporting, wholesaling, or shipping.
- Good understanding of GSP Certificates, Letters of Credit, and Bills of Lading.
- Proactive attitude in meeting demands and deadlines.
- Proficient in import software and IT literate.
- High proficiency in Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Team player able to work under pressure and show initiative.
