Salary:
£25,000 - £35,000 DOE

The role:


Work with the Lead UX Designer, Consultants, Business Analysts and Developers to create both functional and visually appealing designs for written and technical solutions that address our customers' needs.

Use creativity and an eye for detail - along with technical knowledge - to develop exceptional customer experiences.
To deliver UI mockups, prototypes, MVPs and final solutions. Translate customer needs into user-friendly, functionally appropriate designs to have a direct impact on the customer's user experience.

Some key area's you'll be working on:

  • Attend meetings with clients and/or and internal stakeholders to understand business goals, capture requirements, gather feedback and present findings/data-informed design solutions.
  • Produce UI sketches, wireframes, designs and clickable prototypes for testing and communicating ideas to stakeholders.
  • Participate in development sprints to provide UI expertise and qualitycontrol for design throughout the development process.
  • Collect and interpret user insights into delightful experiences.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to transcribe their vision for the app into credible and appealing UI designs.
  • Develop and maintain wireframes and clickable prototypes.
  • Working with designers & frontend developers to incorporate visuals and brand identities into client solutions/projects.
  • Managing digital design assets for client projects.

Important to have:


  • Proven commercial work experience developing responsive user experiences; from wireframes to high fidelity prototypes across web and native (iOS and Android) mobile projects for frontend development.
  • A portfolio which demonstrates ability and technical knowledge across a range of clients and/or industries.
  • Experience in understanding user needs and translating them into compelling final designs and solutions.
  • Experience implementing design choices based on user and stakeholder feedback.
  • Experienced and comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams, from discovery through to development, working alongside project managers, developers and other designers within an Agile team to improve the usability of solutions and other features.
  • Comfortable using industrystandard design software e.g. Figma, Balsamiq, Adobe CC, etc.
  • Knowledge and an understanding of accessibility standards for mobile apps and web.

Advantageous to have:


  • Background experience in Product / Solution Design (UX/UI or similar)
  • Interest/experience in Service Design
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline (possibly in the creative sector).
  • Relevant training and/or certifications in UX/UI Design
  • Understanding of analytics/data has used quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions.
  • An understanding of the psychology behind user behaviour.
  • Familiar or experienced with frontend development languages e.g. HTML, CSS, Javascript.
  • Ability to conduct fast "quickfire" research and testing as well as detailed; A/B testing, user interviews, usability testing, etc.
  • Experience planning and conducting user research, including designing, facilitating, and documenting internal and external workshops to gather user feedback.
