About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Business Administrator to join our Asset & Technology Solutions team in Derby.
Role Purpose:
To work as part of the CCTV and Security business stream in a general administration capacity, along with specific focus on procurement & commercial administration, asset management and logistics.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the business with various administrative activities
- Competent use of relevant systems utilised in the business, including Insphire and Oracle
- Support in managing shared inboxes, MS Teams channels and business Sharepoint
- Preparing information for reports and timely submission / distribution
- Booking travel and accommodation for team
- Supporting with repairs and maintenance activities for assets
- Supporting business digital marketing & comms, through Yammer etc.
- Processing of new suppliers and customers
- Raising requisitions and orders with supply chain
- Generating quotations for customers & billing
- Effective communication with colleagues, customers and suppliers
- Triage, resolve & escalate customer queries, as required
- Collating and digital filing of site / asset paperwork
- Onhire and offhiring of assets
- Support in logistics relating to owned / hired assets
Who we're looking for
- 3yrs+ Administrative experience
- Good communication, interpersonal and customer relationship skills; both written and verbal
- Eye for detail and able to check own work effectively
- Process driven
- Time management & problem solving
- Results focused and driven
- Excellent IT and computing skills
- High standards of quality and attention to detail
- Perseverance
- Adaptability to new processes, procedures & systems
- Experience in the construction / construction hire industry
- Knowledge / experience of working in the CCTV / Security industry
