    Job Title: Export Control Manager

    We are currently seeking an experienced Export Control Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of building a better future. This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Havant.

    What you will be doing:

    • Serve as a subject matter expert on trade compliance, staying updated on global trade developments, regulatory changes, and risk management
    • Advise senior management on compliance matters, highlighting risks and opportunities to drive value
    • Manage UK and US licensing and agreements portfolio, ensuring business needs are met with minimal disruption
    • Develop and implement compliance and security procedures and processes
    • Participate in project groups to analyze business transactions and ensure regulatory compliance
    • Design and deliver training programs on compliance across functions
    • Coordinate with external parties like suppliers and customers to ensure compliance requirements are met and supply chain risks are mitigated
    • Act as a Security Controller, overseeing classified information and advising on security measures
    • Represent the business in compliance verification activities

    To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

    • Demonstrable experience in international trade compliance, ideally in defense manufacturing
    • Advanced knowledge of UK and US trade regulations, including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC
    • Proficiency in export licensing and agreements, MOD approvals, and classification lists
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex regulatory information
    • Ownership mentality, proactive nature, and ethical standards
    • Ability to make informed decisions and identify practical solutions
    • Diplomatic approach to drive compliance efforts across functions
    • Degree in a relevant field preferred

    You will hold an advantage with:

    • Experience in the marine sector
    • Familiarity with US cyber security regulations
