Job Description:


Wood Mackenzie has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Performance professional to join a fast paced, dynamic global professional services organisation in the energy and natural resources space.

This is an opportunity for a forward looking individual who will be responsible for leading the Marketing Performance function to drive change and innovation.


This role is challenged with building a strategy to enable the existing team to help improve how they measure the impact of Marketing, determine where Marketing best invests time and budget based on performance, and move the team from lagging to leading indicators to allow for more agile deployment.

They will be tasked with delivering actionable insights and data-driven intelligence to help support planning and go-to-market strategy.

This role will also be responsible for marketing data governance and compliance, and setting and maintaining best-in-class guidelines and practices.

Together with Digital this role will develop and oversee the Martech strategy, ensuring the right tools are in place to support the marketing organisation.


This role sits on the Marketing Leadership team (MLT), and is also the MLT sponsor of the Program Optimization team.


Main Responsibilities

  • Hire, develop and retain a team of talented, commercially minded marketing operations, data and MarTech professionals
  • Lead the effort to define and implement frameworks for measuring, reporting and analysing Marketing results & its contribution to the business
  • Upgrade and standardize Marketinginfluences revenue reporting; build out campaign reporting and support effective event reporting
  • Lead data strategy development and works closely with Sales Operations & Infrastructure on data flows and marketing process governance
  • Own marketing automation tool (Pardot), process and best practice
  • Own the MarTech stack, working with the Digital team
  • Support our teams to make the best use of the tools and tech available and provide regular highquality training on our platforms, systems and processes always identifying better ways to improve.
  • Enable integrations and work cross department to develop playbook to streamline further acquisitions
  • Review and optimize marketing processes to improve speed and effectiveness, including process mapping and training, quality and efficient marketing file and asset management
  • Create a plan and identify a tool to build out full multitouch attribution modelling covering to determine channel mix, budget allocation and funnel optimization
  • Create advanced & predictive models such as marketing mix, propensity to buy, customer lifetime value and assists teams in using these models to adjust their tactical mixes
  • Work to ensure ongoing maintenance, acquisition segmentation & analysis of client contact data for the purpose of crosssell marketing, engagement and retention
  • Create and deliver a prospect contact data plan to ensure effective acquisition and management of prospect contact data for new logo marketing
  • Help support the annual marketing planning process
  • Gather and disseminate internal and external marketing best practices
  • GDPR compliance for marketing organisation, alongside Woodmac compliance working group
  • Work closely with the insight and product analytics teams to understand and utilise marketingrelated insight, supporting marketing stakeholders.

Qualifications:


About You


To be successful in this role you will be an experienced and entrepreneurial commercial leader with at least 10 years' experience in the Marketing Performance space.

You should to able to build strong senior relationships while balancing being very hands on with the data and reporting, as well have a background in B2B Marketing.

Strong domain knowledge and a proven track record of delivering results are important. It will be beneficial if you have some knowledge of the energy & commodity markets
