One of the leading family law firms in the UK
The Position
Apprentice will sit with the Finance Director and Practice Manager. Apprentice will be required to cover reception from time to time when receptionist is away from her desk and at lunchtimes
Primary duties.
- Review the daily cash receipts spreadsheet as prepared by Bidwell Henderson & identify any unknown receipts, complete the posting slips & update the relevant fee earner.
- Update the credit control spreadsheet with daily receipts
- Monitor payments received on account & ensure all instalments are paid on time.
- Agree payment plans for the payment of debts with the solicitor & finance director & put in place with the debtor.
- To be responsible for the chasing of debts in accordance with the agreed timetable & to maintain the value of debts at a reasonable level.
- To investigate the credit control functions on Tikit & implement an automated system if appropriate.
- To identify debts for outsourcing & maintain a record of those debts. Provide information requested by the debt collectors.

- Apprentices are required to have GCSE grades A*C/94 in maths & English
Training to be provided
- Level 3 in Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard

- Relevant regulations and policies
- Business fundamentals

- Functional skills if needed
This Apprenticeship will involve:
- Off the job training
- You will also develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours
- You need to have an employer to support your Apprenticeship and be employed in a relevant job role
- The typical length of this Apprenticeship course is 18 months
- This course has multiple start dates throughout the year
