ProjectManagement Deliver the project on time, within budget and in a way that delivers the benefits agreed at business case stage.

Production detailed project and stage plans. Liaise with associated/related projects and project managers. Monitor overall and day-to-day project progress.

Advise the Project Board immediately if planned tolerance levels are exceeded.

Send regular highlight reports and (when required) exception reports to the Project Board and also prepare progress reports for the PACS Project Board and other groups as required.

Liaise with all stakeholders and user groups to ensure overall integrity and direction of the project. Process flow Evaluation and Redesign Continously review current workflows with stakeholders, make recommendations for improvement and implement these.


Change Management Develop improved ways of working using Radiology and Cardiology PACS, RIS and associated systems, developing and gaining ownership of the new processes.

Identify the resources and financing required to deliver and operate Radiology and Cardiology PACS, RIS and associated systems through the transition process and beyond and feed the resource implications of that into the business case process.

Devise a Change Management and Benefits Realisation Plan to move existing users to new ways of working focussing on the human as well as technical aspects.

Take the service through the change from the old to new way of working.


Manage communication between Trust IT and radiology staff, radiology and cardiology PACS, RIS and associated systems and DR/CR equipment suppliers and other modality service personnel.

To develop datawarehouse solutions to capture data from RIS, PACS and devices for BI, data quality, waiting times compliance and to fulfil mandatory data requirements such as DiD To implement solutions such as DMWL and MPPS to improve data quality and efficiency across the Trust.

Maintain a log of radiology and cardiology PACS, RIS and associated systems assets showing their current performance status and system information (IP address, location, reference number etc).

Configuration Management Record all system configurations and maintain a detailed inventory for all systems and devices connected to them.


Produce and maintain Visio schematics outlining the connectivity with up and downstream systems and the provision of worklists and exchange of other messages.

End User Training Produce and maintain a training plan for users within Radiology and reporting users within Cardiology Produce and maintain a training plan for users outside of Radiology and non-reporting users within Cardiology Documentation Management Produce and maintain all documentation required by the Trust, CAMRIN, CQC and NHS England.
