Our Payroll Services Department is expanding, and we are looking for Payroll Officers to join us This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated payroll professionals with previous experience, ideally within an NHS setting.


A chance to make a difference to our colleagues across our hospitals and community sites who genuinely rely on our team to ensure that they are all paid accurately and on time, with customers focused at our hearts, we aim to meet the needs of our fellow MFT colleagues.


You will be responsible for a section of payroll for day-to-day processing, inputting and calculations associated with providing an excellent payroll service.

You will be organised, self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines with mínimal supervision.

Updating the Payroll System (ESR) through the accurate and timely interpretation of documentation received.

Deal with a range of stakeholders to provide guidance and training. You will be able to enhance your own performance through continuously developing your own knowledge and skills.


We offer, NHS payroll training and support, you will receive 28 days annual leave plus bank holiday and the opportunity to join the NHS pension scheme.

You will work in an open modern office with great on site facilities.

You'll use your expertise to troubleshoot issues and find ways to improve the service.

Your strong planning, organisational and analytical skills will be matched by extensive knowledge of HR and finance policy and procedures.

Calm under pressure, methodical and assertive, you'll also have the ability to work unsupervised.
