- Selection and recruitment of management team
- Support the Operational Team's development through performance and development reviews, identifying training needs and organising training of direct reports.
- Responsible for productivity of the team
- Manage Employment Relations procedures as required
- Lead your divisions School of Rock programme
- Work with the Chief Operating Officer in order to design and implement standard company operational process using best practice methods
- Develop appropriate relationships with key and potential customers
- Support the Chief Operating Officer in the development of operational processes for new service offers by understanding and interpreting Sales Strategy
- Communicate constructively and actively seek information from key stakeholders, including reportees within the Operational Division
- Keep the Chief Operating Officer up to date with all operational activities
- Promote a culture of two way communication within the Operational Division
- Ensure that training and development needs are identified and provided in the Operational Division
- Wear protective items of clothing and use appropriate safety equipment when on site
- Take responsibility for own and colleagues safety at all times
- Lead and take control of difficult situations
- Promote and communicate standards/information to colleagues and team members.
- Monitor and communicate standards/information to other staff within business
- Identify and escalate any hazards, near misses in line with the Company's reporting procedures
- Degree level or equivalent experience
- Substantial operational experience in a fast paced environment
- P&L delivery in a national company.
- Responsibility for an operational business of greater than £12M
- Delivery to KPIs and client SLAs
- Cost, Quality and Time parameters to ensure exceptional client delivery
- Profit & Loss accountancy practices
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workloads
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Effective People Management
- Leadership skills to inspire large groups of geographically dispersed people
- Able to take strategic view
- Masters level qualification (preferred)
- Lean / Six Sigma processes and business improvement (preferred)
- NEBOSH health & safety qualification (preferred)
- Understanding of Water Hygiene or related industry (preferred)
