About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join us in our busy and expanding catering service on Bank support with covering holidays and sickness.
Your day will involve
- Preparing all delicious, home cooked meals within the hospice paying consideration to special dietary requirement.
- Produce wholesome, well balanced and nutritious meals for patients, their families, hospice staff and all other catering initiatives and services. Aiding health, wellbeing and tantalising their taste buds.
- Promote high standards of catering, ensure the kitchen is clean and hazard free and ensure volunteers are supervised appropriately.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required to assist in the smooth running of the catering service.
About you
We are looking for someone with
- Experience of working within a busy team environment but will also be expected to work independently too.
- You will promote high standards of catering, ensure the kitchen is clean and hazard free and ensure volunteers are supervised appropriately.
- Experience in a fresh food kitchen and relevant food hygiene certificate, you will appreciate the importance of good quality home cooking

- Salary £10.13 per hour (Plus additional enhancements at 30% or 60% for weekend working)
