About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic Domestic/ Housekeeping Assistants to join our team on Bank.
You will work within the hospice's cleaning programmes and specific daily work schedules to achieve and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across the organisation.
Your day will involve
- You will be responsible for cleaning all offices, patient rooms and public areas to a high standard, including vacuuming, mopping, general cleaning and emptying of bins appropriately, including clinical waste, providing a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff and visitors
- Duties will also involve replenishing kitchen and WC facilities as well as preparing rooms for functions as appropriate.
About you
We are looking for someone with
- We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who will work effectively within a small team but also be confident within a lone worker environment
- You will be adaptable with a flexible approach and be able to prioritise workload accordingly
- You should have excellent time management skills and communication skills and be sensitive to the needs of patients and their visitors.

Oakhaven Hospice serves the community of the New Forest, providing in-patient, day hospice and community care for patients with life limiting illnesses and support to their families/carers.
