Based from Snainton office - with hybrid 'at place' working available**
Contract Type:Fixed term one year - April 2024 to March 2025 (in the first instance)**Carers Plus Yorkshire is a well-established charity of over 29 years, providing information, advice and support to unpaid family Carers and the wider community across multiple districts of North Yorkshire including Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Hambleton and Richmondshire.


We are seeking a:

Lifetime Learning Coordinator, 50 not out project
***This is a new project funded by UKSPF, to support unpaid carers and those people accessing our community services (aged between 50-64yrs).

You will be a good communicator, will possess an empathetic nature and be dynamic in your approach.


The aim of the project is to work with people who want to learn new skills, find an interest that could possibly support them to use the skill to support their caring role, volunteer in the community or even gain some training, a qualifications or employment.


The project's ambition is to help people to socially connect with others in the same situation through group support, raising their confidence and aspirations to develop new skills and interests.

You will bring small groups together to bring a fun element in to learning with the goal to improve outcomes of those we support.


The project will include working alongside professionals, employers, organisations and the wider community, to raise awareness of unpaid carers, highlighting the barriers to employment, challenges faced, and how we can support them.
