    Description
    Previous experience in Theatres is desirable not essential as competency based in-house training will be provided.


    Theatre areas offer you the opportunity to work in a varied selection of specialities including Orthopaedics, Plastics, Breast, Urology, Head and Neck, Urology, General, Multi-speciality Robotic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Renal, Obstetrics and Ophthalmology.

    As a Major Trauma centre, we cover all aspects of Trauma and Emergency surgery.

    We carry out Cataract, Plastics and Pain Management Procedures as Day Case Surgery.

    We are passionate about delivering the highest standard of Patient Centred care. We work closely with Surgical Speciality Groups to plan our lists and ensure maximum efficiency and utilisation .

    If successful you will be supported in your role whether you are Newly Qualified / New to Theatre or an experienced Theatre Practitioner.

    A Structured Induction Programme and ongoing training will ensure you gain the skills required .


    Wehavevacancies in Anaesthetics, Scrub and Recovery and will offer support for you to develop competencies in more than one of these areas.

    Assess, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the peri-operative care of patients using specialist knowledge and skills.

    ~ Acknowledge personal preferences, rights and choice of patients undergoing surgery.

    ~ Maintain health, safety and the control of infection in clinical work areas in line with Trust policies and procedures.

    ~ Store, prepare and administer prescribed drugs to patients, and monitor the effects of drugs on patients in line with Trust policies.

    ~ Support, monitor and care for patients during clinical procedures.

    ~ Maintain accurate & legible records of care.
