Key Responsibilities:

Salary:
circa £25,285 per annum, pro rata (FTE £30,763 per annum) + good range of benefits

Contract:
Permanent - Part-time hours

Details: 30 hours per week (flexibility on exact daily working hours)

Based:
Milton Keynes Office with flexibility to work from home 2-3 days a week.

Job Purpose


This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to work closely with World Vision UK's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), playing a crucial role in serving the world's most vulnerable children.


As well as providing excellent administrative and logístical support, you will also work pro-actively with our Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) and other staff to support on the CEO's external communications with our key stakeholders (including the UK Government, donors and the media).


You will have a successful track record and proven experience of supporting directors and/or chief executives and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will show us your active interest in global affairs and knowledge of the current UK charitable and international aid sector is desirable.


Responsibilities:


Support the CEO in effective task and time management, prioritising their workload and managing a diary of internal and external engagements, enabling them to achieve their objectives; Effectively and proactively brief the CEO on matters for their attention, ensuring where appropriate that work is delegated to the relevant leads; Ensure the CEO is briefed for key meetings (in person and online), attending with or for the CEO where necessary, and preparing appropriate/effective follow up; Represent the CEO, acting as the first point of contact with external and internal enquiries or requests on behalf of the CEO, liaising with other members of WVUK and WVI staff and/or external contacts; Ensure key external CEO engagements and communications are timely and coordinated by working closely with the Government Relations, Churches and Christian Engagement, Corporates and Philanthropy teams ; Support the CEO in maximising the impact of social media engagement, presenting relevant external insights in a timely manner; Coordinate with the Media team on media opportunities, providing briefings for CEO media interviews as appropriate; Ensure the CEO's Internal Communications are structured, regular and consistent; Manage the CEO's UK and international travel arrangements and expenses; Support the CEO's engagement with the Board Chair and the Board as appropriate.
