Job Purpose.


A primary purpose of the Partnership Impact Communication advisor is to make sure that various pieces of impact data, generated on the basis of Partnership research as well as the FO regular reach and impact data, are transformed into credible and user-friendly impact communication materials.

The role holder will be responsible to know well and address impact communication needs and priorities of the FOs, SOs and various other WV entities.

In close collaboration with the GMC as well as Strategy Evidence colleagues (especially the senior evidence translator) different impact communication materials will be prepared to demonstrate WV's technical brand and strengthen trust among donors and partners.

Major Responsibilities

WV's Prepositioning through Impact Communication

  • Analyse impact priorities and interests of key stakeholders for targeted impact communication and WV's effective prepositioning
  • Continuously study impact communication practices, tools and platforms, available internally or externally, to introduce new and/or upgrade existing approaches to tell WV's impact story in the most efficient way in partnership with the GMC
  • Consistently develop and/or refresh impact driven Global capacity statement(s) and Power Claims for WV's prepositioning
Evidence Assets for Impact Communication

  • Map and prioritize the most critical impact communication platforms (e.g. conferences, round tables etc.) in close collaboration with the Partnership researchers and other key stakeholders in WV
  • Create new as well as update existing impact communication materials for industry leading platforms on the basis of existing impact data and Partnership research
  • Create Regional Power Claims, Capacity Statements and other Impact Communication resources to support the field with impact driven external engagement
Impact Communication Plan

  • Develop and implement WV's Impact Communication Plan in full consideration of availability of consistent evidence of impact and Partnership research in close collaboration with the GMC, Global GAM teams and the field
  • Coordinate and integrate WV's Impact Communication Plan with Global Moments as well as with the FO External Engagement (EE) Plans
Other

  • Support successful realization of new initiatives and projects of the Strategy Evidence Team evolving gradually
  • Team Management
Knowledge and Education

  • Master's Degree in journalism, Communications, social sciences or any related field
  • At least 5years' experience in the area of impact communication in the field
  • Proven experience of developing impact driven communication resources for external engagement and FO prepositioning
  • Proven experience in grant dependent fragile context
  • Graphic design
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Digital marketing and analytics are highly preferable

Language Requirements:
Excellent English language skills
