Maintenance Fitter (Night Shift) - Doncaster
Clemence Rogers are working in conjunction with our client to recruit for a Maintenance Fitter based in Doncaster. Initial training would be provided on the day shift for 1-2 weeks before transferring onto the night shift.
Key responsibilities of a Maintenance Fitter:
- Ensure health and safety of all the staff on shift with a target of zero accidents & LTI's.
- Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported immediately.
- Drive site KPI's daily through engineering and operations teams: availability, efficiency, throughput, end products, etc
- Develop, train, and share knowledge with staff in order to improve skills
- Ensure housekeeping is maintained to high standards
- Ensure all holidays are booked in advance as per company policy.
- Drive Equipment such as Loading shovels, Excavators ect.
- Cover reactive maintenance if the plant breaks down
- Welding
- Changing bearings
Requirements of a Maintenance Fitter:
- Previous health and safety training.
- Able to read engineering drawings, identify and use hand tools, change bearings, conveyors, sound understanding of mechanical principles, welding, grinding, fixing equipment and making it work.
- Proven Welding experience.
- Fitting Skills required
