An experienced Technical Operations Team Leader is needed to join the team at this leading IT Services and Consultancy company based in Hessle, England.


They create high-quality and entertaining online real money games for the global online casino industry, as well as developing some fantastic software and product solutions to a fabulous range of customers in the UK gaming and hospitality sectors.


They are based in Hessle, East Yorkshire, but their team is made up of talent from many parts of the UK (and, as a wider group, many parts of Europe).

About the Role


They are totally flexible on working arrangements; they measure the quality of outputs and delivery, not the location and number of hours worked.


They are looking for a team lead to support and manage their technical operations team, to keep the servers and services secured and up and running, and to provide tech support to their business customers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Acquire and manage servers and such hardware, set up networking and virtualisation
  • Perform security and backuprelated tasks, including disaster response and recovery
  • Automate all of the above, and make life better

Desirable Nontechnical Skills:


  • Experience in leading technical projects and teams
  • Experience in multisite working environments
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and in remote
  • A can do will deliver mindset and attitude
  • Great organisational and communication skills
  • Inquisitive nature, driving lifelong learning

Desirable Technical Skills:


  • Management of proprietary production systems, relational databases along with both Microsoft Server and Linux servers
  • Information security best practices
  • Experience in networking, network technologies and services
  • Experience in automation, integrations, virtualisation
  • Eager to coordinate the development of the above
  • Database Replication and Clustering
  • Awareness of ISO 2700
  • Ubiquiti Network and Wi-Fi Solutions
  • Microsoft Licensing Implementation, including S.P.L.A.
  • Ansible
  • Apache web server
  • Linux servers and networking
  • Virtualisation technology including: LXD, LXC and HYPER-V
  • ZFS
  • Databases including Postgres, Microsoft SQL and MySql
  • Microsoft Server 2012 to 2019 Operating Systems
  • Microsoft Client Operating Systems from Windows 7 to Windows 10
  • Network Infrastructure: DNS, DHCP, File Shares
  • Backup and Recovery
