Senior Internal Auditor - Corporate Banking
The Skills You'll Need:
Experience in auditing a wholesale and corporate bank to FCA/PRA standards, A recognized accountancy or internal audit qualification.
Your New Salary:
Up to £73k, depending on experience.

Reporting To:
Head of Internal Auditor
What You'll be Doing Each Day:
- To develop and maintain an understanding of our client's London Branch businesses, risk and support functions through training, coaching, relationship management and review of available documentation
- To perform audits assigned to him/her from the Audit Plan in line with Internal Audit Methodology and Key Operating Procedures
- To identify audit issues comprising areas of control weakness, or control gaps
- To formulate and recommend practical costeffective remedial actions to mitigate these
- To liaise with auditees at all stages of the audit, towards agreeing issues and developing and obtaining support for recommended remedial actions
- To produce a draft internal audit report for each assignment including agreed management actions with realistic agreed timescales for implementation
- To provide sources of assurance towards Internal Audit's opinion to the parent and the London management committees on the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control framework for our client's London Branch
- To manage junior colleagues on audit assignments
- Responsibility for providing periodic assurance to the Bank's senior management on the design and operational effectiveness of the Bank's conduct risk related systems and controls put in place by the First and Second lines of defence, conduct gap analysisand advise how the conduct risk systems and controls could be improved.
- Play key role in ensuring that the departments overall objectives are profile are maintained at the highest standards including internal reporting, achieving the annual audit plan and completion of accurate internal reporting
The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
- A recognized accountancy or internal audit qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, or IIA
- Experience in auditing a wholesale and corporate bank to FCA/PRA standards
- Experience in and understanding of the riskbased approach to internal audit.
- Experience in and a detailed understanding of the activities and the products traded by the Bank
- A broad and detailed knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques, test and sampling methods involved in conducting audits
- An ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports
- An ability to maintain current knowledge of developments related to business matters of interest to internal audit, particularly legislative and regulatory changes and developments as they affect the financial services sector, and new auditing techniquesand practices
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience in using Visio, knowledge of Access Database would be an advantage
