    About The Supply and Demand Team Based within the Commercial division of the business, The Supply and Demand Team is responsible for the planning and realisation of all inbound and outbound goods and materials in the business, forecasting and demand planning the customer requirements, the planning and management of the production plan in the factories and the reporting of the and reporting of all the aforementioned elements. Demand and Materials Planner Reporting to the Supply Manager, the Demand and Materials Planner is a key part of the Supply Chain. The Demand and Materials Planner will have responsibility for the creation, maintenance and running of forecasting activities associated with their key accounts and placing orders for inbound materials in order to meet the demand plan. The Demand and Materials Planner will guide and mentor the Demand Planners where required. The Demand and Materials Planner will also be responsible for the management and reporting of stock cover on both finished SKUs and components for their key accounts.
    • Develop demand forecasts from the customer forecasts, reviewing historical sales trends, promotion plans and other known activities adjusting the operational forecast.
    • Use and maintain the demand planning software as the primary forecasting system tool, enter and modify data and ensure the correctness.
    • Regularly confirm confirmation to the customer forecast back to the customer working closely with the Supply and Production Planners to ensure goods are produced and delivered to meet expectations.
    • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process.
    • Interact with sales, product and commercial teams to understand demand forecast drivers, working collaboratively to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
    • Provide input to the Supply Team in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
    • Host monthly demand meetings with the key accounts to ascertain gaps to management budget, creating building blocks to bridge the gap, challenging the customer on forecasts to ensure robustness, and creating a demand plan from all information gathered.
    • Challenge items ordered out of lead time ensuring both he customer and business needs are met with a collaborative delivery date.
    • Order materials and components to meet the demand plan ensuring materials arrive in good time, expediting and de-expediting purchase orders to ensure deliveries are adjusted to suit a changing demand plan.
    • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with Supply Planning
    • Communicate effectively and positively with all teams, colleagues and managers.
    • Help to promote a positive working atmosphere within the company.
    • Demonstrate effectiveness as a member of the Planning Team through consistent professional conduct and role model behaviour.
    Role Requirements
    • Track record in a demand planning role.
    • Experience in purchase order management.
    • Excellent communication, and decision-making skills.
    • Experience managing customer forecasts and modelling scenarios based on indexing, trends, and historic data.
    • Continuous improvement mindset.
    • Ability to quickly prioritise tasks.
    • Effective time management skills.
    • Professional and proactive work ethic.
    • Able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
