    Job Description: Project Manager

    Location: Wolverhampton

    Salary: £60,000 – 80,000

    Looking for a Project Manager for an ongoing project based in Wolverhampton.

    The project is currently in the initial stage with a value of £40 million, scheduled to be completed by the end of next summer.

    Responsibilities involve supervising 4 site managers, an engineer, and a graduate, and overseeing the construction activities.

    Reporting directly to the Senior PM, who is present on-site three days a week.

    Responsibilities:

    • Take full ownership of each project phase from preliminary works to final completion;
    • Offer guidance on contract procurement methods and select suitable contractors and professional teams;
    • Provide project oversight, direction, and consistency to contractors;
    • Optimize the project to maximize revenue opportunities and operational efficiency;
    • Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss completed tasks and upcoming actions;
    • Visit the site as needed to ensure progress aligns with schedule and budget;
    • Identify reasons for project delays and develop practical solutions;
    • Participate in weekly design meetings to question all operational, architectural, servicing, structural, and construction assumptions;
    • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to push suppliers for the best value procurement.

    Requirements

    • Proven track record as a construction project manager;
    • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles;
    • Familiarity with quality, health, and safety standards;
    • Solid understanding of MS Office;
    • Familiarity with construction/project management software;
    • A team player with strong leadership skills;
    • BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or a related field;
    • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
