Storeman

We are looking to add a Storeman to strengthen our stores team in delivering an efficient service to all our divisions.

The ideal applicant will be a strong team player with confident communication skills and a personable manner.

Hours will be 08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Purpose:

This role will ensure Total Protection and Contar consistently provides clients with the best possible services, by providing a simpler, more efficient route whatever the project.

Key Tasks

Ensure all stores are clean and tidy at all times
Ensure Equipment in stores is clean and in full working order
Assisting with site deliveries when required and working with all divisions to ensure there are no operational delays
Ensure good housekeeping around the warehouses / yard / office i.e. litter pick vicinity, empty ashtrays, rubbish contained in skip / bins provided, pallets stored neatly, arrange skip exchange
Receiving goods in and putting stock away in the stores in a neat and tidy fashion, whilst ensuring stock rotation
Liaising with the divisions and arranging supplies for labourers to collect / assisting with loading vans
Stock checks
Making samples
Decanting of materials
Responsible for production of orders from receipt to shipping
Assisting with fleet requirements i.e. collecting parts, attending MOT's, cleaning fleet vehicles, arranging tyre changes on vehicles when required
Full cover of storeman when absent (Wednesdays and annual leave cover)
Assistance with facility queries / general "handyman" duties
Other such reasonable duties as instructed by the storeman / fleet manager

Experience and knowledge:

Excellent communication skills
Fork lift truck licence is preferred
Full UK drivers licence
Experience using trailers in busy areas and confidence to do so on live sites is preferred

Attitude and skills:
