Full Time Accounts Assistant
Total Protection Limited is a leading, specialist contractor within the resin surfaces and coatings sector.
Ongoing success has led to the creation of additional dedicated divisions providing decorating, landscaping and fire protection expertise, with a specialist team providing tailored services to the social housing sector.
Purpose:
Due to the continued growth of the business a new opportunity has been created in our Finance department for an Accounts Assistant with at least one year's experience seeking a hands-on role covering all areas of our department.
The role will be varied and will offer the individual good exposure to the whole finance function and opportunity to grow and potentially specialise in an area in the future.
Reporting to the Finance Controller the core tasks are;- Setting up and ensuring correct information is on accounts system for all new projects and chasing up outstanding information from operational departments
- Assisting sales ledger staff in creation of customer accounts, ensuring all required information is available, checking of credit limits, raising of sales invoices.
- Assisting credit control staff in chasing of debts, allocation of cash, litigation matters, dispute follow up and resolution.
- Working closely with administration staff across operational departments
- Document control and assisting in filing across the department
- Assisting with expenses and credit card processing as required
- Providing holiday cover for accounts staff
- Adhoc project work
- Assisting the purchase ledger staff on day to day tasks as required
Experience and knowledge:
- Sage Line 50 experience is desired
- Computer literate, Excel skills will be an advantage
- Construction Industry experience will be an advantage
- One Two years' experience in a busy accounts office
Attitude and skills:
- Strong communication skills
- Hands on approach, demonstrating good problemsolving skills
- Can Do attitude and ability to work to deadlines
- Great attention to detail
Hours of Work:
The role is full time, 9am - 5pm.
The company is located in a semi-rural environment and the office provides a lovely working environment. Due to its location a car driver is essential (free parking).
