An experienced part time Lead Physiotherapist is neededto support our band 7 physiotherapist working across four of the five GP Practices in South Monmouthshire.
We are a cluster of GP Practices covering South Monmouthshire serving a population of ,000.
Monmouthshire has it all - a mix of beautiful market towns and award-winning rural areas within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Not only are the GP Practices in Monmouthshire a great place to work, Monmouthshire is an amazing place to live with great schools, a fantastic welcoming community ethos, and easy transport routes to Cardiff, Bristol, Bath and Gloucester to name but a few.
For some time, GP practices in Monmouthshire have been diversifying their teams to include many different Allied Health Professionals of different specialities and are delighted to now be able to look to support the widespread adoption of the Physiotherapist role across practice sites. Practices are used to training GPs and Pharmacists, and are now keen to use this skill set to help support Physiotherapists when needed. We, however, also wish to have the support of an experienced Lead Physiotherapist who can support the new band 7 Physiotherapist(s) in their new role working one morning a week alongside the NCN team.
Main duties of the job
The Lead Physiotherapist will encourage the band 7 Physiotherapist(s) to develop and enhance their skill set with regular personal appraisals and opportunities for development depending on agreed preferences by the band 7 Physiotherapist, NCN team and practice teams.
To thrive in this challenging, exciting, and demanding role you will require commitment, resilience, and an eagerness to support others to succeed.
You will need to have confidence to communicate and influence groups and individuals at all levels while remaining committed to providing excellent patient care.
The Lead Physiotherapist will be based within the NCN team, supporting the band 7 physiotherapist(s) across the four GP Practices.
The Lead Physiotherapist will attend quarterly NCN meetings.
The Lead Physiotherapist will attend regular meetings with the band 7 physiotherapist(s) and the NCN team as is deemed necessary.

This post is fixed term/secondment for 18 months to meet the needs of the service. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
