You will have a range of community responsibilities within the service providing a holistic and assertive service for working age adults with severe mental illness.

The team is based at a community clinic which houses all our Neighbourhood Teams as well as the Early Intervention and an Early Detection of Psychosis Service.

It is about 5 minutes walk away from the inpatient unit located at Homerton Hospital and 5 minutes away from bustling Chatsworth Road, with its vibrant cafs and shops.

The Neighbourhood Recovery Service has two sub-teams (East and West), led by 4 Band 7 senior practitioners, and 1 Band 8 operational lead.

We are proud of the work we have done moving towards recovery-oriented care in the community and development of a primary care mental health offer which supports the recovery service in managing workload effectively.

The post holder will continue to nurture and further enhance strong relationships with primary care colleagues, and this will facilitate a responsive service, that can see patients quickly, but also discharge back to primary care, with or without the input of the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team.

The current caseload is approximately 250 patients in each neighbourhood, and 50-60 on (what used to be called) CPA in the recovery service of each neighbourhood.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve.
