Description

Vittles Foods is a frozen dessert manufacturer in Leicester supplying to major UK retailers. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Officer to join our team. They will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors at our facility.

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
Provide safety training to employees on topics such as first aid, emergency response, and hazard identification
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving workplace safety culture
Stay uptodate with industry standards and regulations related to workplace safety
Report monthly KPIs to the management team

Experience:

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Safety Officer or similar role from a food manufacturing background
Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
Experience in conducting root cause analysis for accidents or incidents
Proficient in report writing and record keeping
Certification in NEBOSH/IOSH is essential.
Strong internal audit experience

£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
