Hybrid, 60% in office (London based with occasional visit to Reigate office)

About the Role


Reporting into Group Change Director, the
Head of the Group Change Portfolio will lead and govern Just's Group Change Portfolio while guiding and supporting Value Stream Delivery Leads to ensure effective governance and management of all change.


As part of the Change leadership team and a key driver of the change portfolio's success, they will develop and implement comprehensive change and portfolio management strategies that drive the delivery of business value.


Additionally, they will own, design and embed the Group Change model across all Value Streams, including processes, tools, standards, reporting, risk management, quality assurance, and people capability planning and development.


Job Role - Key Accountabilities

Manage the Group Change Portfolio, ensuring effective management within the Value Streams and proactive strategic oversight at the Group level.

  • Own the Group Change Portfolio, developing a comprehensive strategic 'master Change plan' that aligns with the Group Financial Plan, Strategy Execution Plan, and Value Stream delivery plans, defining key outcomes, benefits, priorities, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Manage investment funding prioritization, approval, and tracking, communicating decisions and their implications to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Group policies, standards, risk frameworks, and controls.
  • Drive proactive delivery assurance, monitoring, reporting, and escalation/intervention where necessary to maintain delivery momentum and ensure best practices are applied and benefits are achieved.
  • Embed proactive management of risks, issues, dependencies, and actions across the Group, ensuring that mitigating actions are owned and executed.
  • Manage overall Group benefits planning, ensuring effective governance, approval, and control of business cases for key initiatives across the Group.
  • Develop and execute effective engagement and communications across the Group to enable effective Change delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement and embedding of best practice portfolio management across the Value Streams, ensuring all Change is owned and governed at Value Stream level.

Build and develop Group-wide Change capabilities and proactively manage the skills supply and demand pipeline across Value Streams.

  • Develop and maintain an enterpriselevel people framework to enable effective delivery of the Change Portfolio.
  • Drive a resultsdriven culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and capability development, holding people to account for their role in the delivery of Change to the business.
  • Develop an enterprise resource plan to manage and drive strategic workforce planning, matching skills demand with supply while balancing shortterm delivery momentum with longerterm career development.
  • Proactively manage skills and capability pipelines to facilitate future demand for fundamental change skillpools. Developing longterm augmentation partnerships to ensure the required skills and capacity are available when needed.
  • Capability will be developed at different levels, with direct ownership over the development of capabilities in the Group Change team, and partnering with senior stakeholders across the Group to develop appropriate skills development and performance management practices for all teams contributing to Change delivery
  • Support embedding dynamic 'ways of working' across all teams working on Change with a focus on culture, engagement, and behaviour development.

Build and develop an effective Change delivery model and partner with the Value Stream Leads to embed effectively across the Group.

  • Own and develop the Group Change 'playbook', ensuring clear definition of mandatory standards and best practice guidelines for a wide range of differing types of change.
  • Develop an appropriate roadmap for adoption of more agile practices with the aim to accelerate Change delivery and capability development across the Group.
  • Establish a datadriven framework for defining, measuring, and tracking the achievement of key business outcomes and holding people to account for their commitments and role in change.
  • Provide proactive support and delivery assurance to enable delivery teams to get delivery 'right first time'.
  • Support a learning and continuous improvement culture, developing and implementing a framework to capture lessons and feedback and learn from our experiences.
