    The opportunity:
    Technical Architect (Infrastructure), based in our Store Support Office in Purfleet Essex (Hybrid working).


    About The Opportunity:


    This is an exciting new opportunity to join our brilliant team of Technology experts at Carpetright, playing a pivotal role in providing day to day support of Nestware Group's server infrastructure both on premise and cloud.nYou will operate within the existing Infrastructure Team providing design, implementation and 3rd level technical support within the UK and in Europe.


    You'll be an experienced Technical Architect/ Infrastructure Architect, with excellent working knowledge of Windows server OS's, Microsoft Exchange, virtualisation technologies, server applications, server hardware and cloud technologies.


    Provide technical leadership to infrastructure, application, and information security teams, ensuring best practices implementation and technological advancement alignment.nYou will oversee the design of IT Infrastructure including hardware, networking, storage, and virtualisation, ensuring infrastructure security, resilience and high performance and availability.nYou'll provide strategic oversight in the implementation of integrated applications and collaborate with application providers to align systems with business needs – introducing continuous improvements to enhance system robustness.nYou will build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and lead technology projects from inception to completion.nMaintain Exchange Servers and resolve any issues with the email platform.

    Ensuring systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with the systems and infrastructure strategy.

    Support and administration of MS Windows Server both on premise and in the cloud.nDesign, support, and administration of MS Exchange server and Exchange Online.nDesign, support, and administration of VMware ESXi & VCenter on premise and cloud – Azure VMWare Solution (AVS).nExperience with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory and Group Policy.


    nPublic DNS maintenancenSupport Microsoft apps and services (Example:

    Office, SharePoint, Intune, Autopilot, Defender)nEMC Unity.nPowerShell scripting knowledge.nMicrosoft Licenses understanding and managing.nServer Hardware configuration and builds both on premise and in the cloud.nMimecast design and implementation.nFortiGate administration.nNetwork and application security – best practice, RADIUS, ACL, IAMnWireless network design and implementationnMiraki and Cisco switches administration.nManage solution design with 3rd party suppliersnManage relationships with 3rd party suppliers, service health, SLA's etcnAzure tenant administration – Subscription management, IAM, billing.nAzure Active Directory – AAD Connect, Identity and Access Management, MFA, Conditional AccessnAzure Disaster recovery and Business Continuity – Azure Backup / Azure Site RecoverynAn understanding of Cloud networking principles and related Azure components (VPN / ExpressRoute, VNet topology, Azure Firewall, NSGs, Routing etc.)nIaaS/ PaaS monitoringnInfrastructure As Code (IaC) – ARM templates and DevOps pipelinesnDynamics AX and / or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations technical experiencenCloud telephony skills.nBackup Software various – on premise and cloud.nSQL Server on premise and cloud.nAzure DevOps – Work item tracking, Repos, PipelinesnExcellent level of technical experience in all aspects of IT infrastructure on premise and cloudnProject management and delivering IT projects to agreed timescales and budget.

    nAzure certifications are desirablenYou'll have the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and be able to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiencesnAbove all, you're calm under pressure, resilient and definitely have a sense of humour
