- Set Corrugation machine to produce plastic conduits ranging from mm – mm diameter from various grades of polymer mixes
- Count and monitor consumables for the department
- Assist with Absence/Lateness Management
- Assist with the smooth running of the Department
- Ensure performance is in line with the production plan.
- Ensure the product manufactured conforms to our in-house quality standards.
- Ensure all quality and inspection documentation is filled out correctly, at the intervals specified and that they are completed along with the relevant production run.
- Train and guide operators, apprentices, conduct inductions etc as necessary.
- Work in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy and ensure that your team members carry out their duties in a safe manner in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure housekeeping and S activities are maintained.
- Drive production to help the Company achieve set targets and goals (KPIs). Report reasons for non-achievement so that action plans can be put in place to bring production back to target.
- Undertake any other duties of a similar level or nature as requested.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing/engineering environment
- Familiarity with logic controllers and tooling used in extrusion operations.
- Ability to assemble, fabricate, and weld components as needed.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge to understand the operation of extrusion equipment.
