Part-Time HR Advisor - Portadown - FTE £30,000

16-20 Hours/week


My award winning FMCG Client have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join their growing team on a Part-Time basis.

Initially working with and supporting a HR Consultant this role has potential to grow into a more full time Senior HR position offering excellent long term career prospects.


The responsibilities of the HR Advisor will include but not be limited to:
To assist in the development and implementation of a HR strategy to include recruitment and training and development plans for company


To assist in ensuring adequate HR support is provided to line managers with regards employee relations, absence management, performance management and appraisal, disciplinary and grievances, recruitment and selection, employing migrant workers, succession planning and development etc.


To assist in the development, review and updating of HR policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment to meet the requirements of the company, statutory requirements and best practice.

To ensure job descriptions and personnel specifications are reviewed and kept up to date.


To assist the Head of HR in providing advice and support in grievances, disciplinary and absence management cases (including investigation and interview procedures).


The successful HR Advisor will meet the following criteria:

  • Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) (previously known as Graduate Member)
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation and good practice procedures
  • At least two year's generalist HR experience, including significant experience in advicegiving on employment issues and contractual documentation
  • Experience of managing discipline and grievance cases
  • Experience of recruitment and selection
  • High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications

Although not essential the following would be highly desirable:

  • Experience of issuing and amending terms and conditions of employment
  • Experience of developing and delivering training
  • Experience of job evaluation
  • Experience of report writing
