Description

A permanent, full time Accounts Payable Team Leader role working within the Public Sector offering £35,000 plus great benefits and hybrid working.

Can be based in other areas of the country with very occasional requirement to head into the Manchester CityCentre.

Description
The main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Lead the team ensuring regular 121's, performance tracking and completing annual reviews;
  • Ensuring the team work collaboratively in a controlled environment;
  • Ensure Oracle and Sage purchase orders and invoices are transacted correctly and approved in line with company SFI;
  • Manage and control Oracle and Sage PO workflows;
  • Ensure Oracle, Sage and Concur payment runs are prepared and approved appropriately;
  • Maintenance of system authorisation levels ensuring consistent with company SFI approval limits;
  • Reconcile Creditors Control Accounts and own Balance Sheet Reconciliations;
  • Ensure supplier set up form and bank detail changes are appropriately approved to ensure changes to master data controlled. Run audit reports monthly to monitor changes;
  • Provide cashflow information to the management accounts as and when required to assist with cashflow forecasting.

Profile

  • Proven track record in accounting and finance as a ledger clerk;
  • High levels of competency with Excel and ideally, SAGE;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • High levels of numeracy and literacy;
  • AAT or similar qualification.

Job Offer

  • A permanent, full time role offering up to £35,000 per annum;
  • Hybrid working, with 2 days in the office in Manchester City Centre and 3 days from home OR 2 days a week in a more 'local' office and monthly requirement to travel to Head Office.
