Civils Groundworker


Green Spark offer our customers a nationwide total environmental compliance service, including PPM's, interceptor servicing, site drainage maps, compliance audits and civils remedial work on many large operational complex logistics and distribution sites acro0ss the UK.


The majority of the work is on small (1 to 5 days) to medium( 4 to 6 weeks) projects within our portfolio of mainly commercial logistics clients.

Experience in any drainage, interceptor, or water related ground works (tarmacing, ashphalt, kerbing) would be an advantage.


Sites of work are across the UK, so you must be prepared to travel extensively and stay away from home regularly.

Our main central offices are based in Doncaster.

Rate per hour is dependent on capability and experience with plenty of opportunity for overtime. Core working week is 40 hours with enhanced payments for weekends and any night shifts. An additional benefit is that travel time is paid along with a generous allowance when staying away.

22 days holidays plus bank holidays. Extra days for long service

All applicants must have a full UK driving licence due to driving requirements.


Responsibilities:


  • Carry out and work in line with the company Health & Safety policy and procedures including working and understanding of risk assessments and method statements
  • Capable of interpreting plans and working with supervisor to deliver required results
  • Keeping central teams updated on site works via a tablet system
  • Organising of materials and equipment required for works, and taking ownership for equipment and its security
  • General maintenance and upkeep of vans and equipment
  • Willing to undertake training to enhance skills and further development

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • CSCS cardholder and any other tickets (confined spaces, dumper etc)
  • Skills to undertake aspects of drain and duct installation and repair,s
  • Excavation and trench experience
  • Knowledge of Black and White top reinstatement and below ground apparatus including concrete to HAUC specification
  • Sign, Lighting and Guarding knowledge
  • Ability to use plant and equipment specific to assigned tasks including Slinger, Lifting, Roller and forward tipping Dumper ticket (up to 20tonne)
  • Confined spaces accreditation (medium risk)

Salary:
£12.50-£15.00 per hour
