  • Do you want to help protect people and property from future coastal risk along the Severn Estuary coastline?

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic person with proven knowledge and understanding of flood and coastal risk management, coastal processes, and coastal adaptation to join us.

You'll work with us on the delivery of our strategic plans and policies for the coast.

You will be working towards understanding the impact that climate change will have on the many communities and towns along the Severn Estuary and will help to develop projects and adaptation strategies to address this risk for the future.

We can't do this on our own and will need to work with others to achieve this.

The postholder of this role will support our involvement in developing and strengthening our relationships with external stakeholders and partners.

Working together to develop and deliver a joined up, integrated, sustainable, strategic approach is essential to ensure coastal communities become more resilient to the future risk of coastal flooding.

You will use your technical knowledge to interpret and analyse data to ensure we are able to deliver the right solutions to both protect people and enhance the environment for the future.

You will be involved in developing and delivering our programme of capital schemes that will protect from flood risk and enhance the environment.

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do.

You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident.

This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
