Unit Manager - Hayes, United Kingdom - graze
Description
about us
At graze, our mission is to rewrite the snacking rulebook. We stand against the snack-establishment and how unsatisfied it can make snackers feel. We want people to enjoy snacking again by eating delicious treats without worrying about eating too much sugar or salt. Thats why were always on the hunt for tastier, crunchier, fresher and better snacks that are good for you (and for the planet).
But how are we doing this? Well, weve already reduced the sugar in our snacks by 60% and were working towards becoming more transparent with our labelling (and encouraging other snack makers to do the same). Were here to make healthy, exciting and snacking a joy.
So it should come as no surprise that were also a certified B Corp and a proud advocate for the Better Business Act. Weve committed to being a better business by putting equal measure behind how our business operates for people, planet and profit.
Now thats a graze idea.
the role
Are you a natural leader with the ability to deliver great results through their team? Understanding how to best make people, processes and machines come together to make tasty snacks? Would you like to develop a career in manufacturing? Then this is a great development role for you. As a Unit Manager you will be accountable and champion all aspects of performance in an area of the factory (, a cluster of flow wrap, hand packing or auto packing lines). You will be responsible for safety, quality, output and cost (waste, labour, utilities) for your area. You will deliver day to day performance via your Team Leaders and your teams. You will also drive the improvement agenda using continuous improvement tools and techniques to ensure that your area and your people continue a journey to excellent performance.

We encourage active learning, so you can enjoy networking events, learning lunches and even more formal qualifications - whatever you need to do the best job possible.
Youll be working with some seriously smart, informed, helpful, funny, dedicated (and very, very modest) people at graze HQ.
Youll be part of an open, inclusive and pioneering team. What could be better?
Youll get all the standard benefits including a pension, a yearly bonus, health insurance and so much more.
We also offer one paid volunteering day and one health day each year on top of your annual leave allowance, to use however you wish.
