We're on the lookout for a Resilience Manager, who'll oversee the strategy and maintenance of the Business Continuity management systems and lead the Resilience function and Team.
You'll report to our Chief Transformation Officer, and prepare the business for adverse events that could cause customer harm and, or threaten the delivery of our strategic objectives.
With proven project management skills, holding others to account through effective tracking, monitoring and clear communication, your time management and organisation skills will be tip top.
Ideally you'll live a commutable distance to one of our offices in Haywards Heath, West Sussex or Salford Quays, Manchester as we're big on w orking flexibly, you'll spend most of your time working from home, with a day a week in the office - but of course, it's your choice, if you prefer to be in the office more - that's good with us too.
Your regulatory knowledge and awareness of requirements driven by regulation (i.e. Business continuity, risk management and execution of disaster recovery planning experiences, incident and crisis management are your tricks of the tradeDesign and implement Business Continuity policies and standards across the Group, ensuring that the needs of the business are met and that measures also reflect prevailing/emerging regulation and industry best practice
Serve as the business continuity specialist, technical liaison and primary contact for Business Continuity planning and response. Report key business continuity statistics and areas requiring improvement to senior leadership teams. Facilitate Business Continuity forums and represent Business Continuity function in monthly management meetings as required
Work with the Group's leadership team to develop and maintain Business Impact Analysis documentation and Business Continuity plans and ensure appropriate measures are in place to mitigate the impact of business disruption
Define a broad range of test events covering multiple scenarios, so that plans can be tested regularly, improved as necessary and kept current and proportionate to the nature, scale and complexity of the risks inherent in the business model of the firm
Adequately consider the link between business continuity and large-scale change projects and routinely revisit plans in anticipation of 'go-live launches'.
Work with colleagues across the business to ensure that our projects and programmes are resilient and that business continuity principles are adhered to throughout the design and implementation phases of all projects, including on and off-boarding of third partiesOwn the content and schedule of Business Continuity training of all colleagues
Plan and take part in internal and external audit reviews demonstrating compliance with the requirements of all relevant policies, regulations, standards, frameworks and processes
Oversee the day-to-day execution of business continuity plan responsibilities and serve as the escalation point for key issues and risks
Attend and present on business continuity plan compliance and risks at relevant first line governance meetings
Review third party and outsourcing risk assessment documents, input into business continuity plans and strategies to ensure continuation of services across the Group
Design and implement a suitable Business Continuity performance measurement system including leading and lagging indicators
Assist in driving compliance by ensuring that Business Continuity policies, procedures and methodologies are being followed
Strong leadership, performance management, mentoring and development of all line reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies, and relevant standards and regulations at all times to improve risk management and ensure strong audit performance.
Responsibility for maintaining department risk registers (as applicable), providing evidence and commentary for controls, updates for mitigation actions and maintaining control matrices and attestationsSignificant experience in business continuity, risk management and execution of disaster recovery planning experiences, incident and crisis management
Experience of managing multiple projects in parallel and taking ownership of all activities to ensure all tasks delivered on time
Strong business and commercial acumen, able to understand complex business needs and drivers
A proven strategic mindset while being flexible and creative to encourage and seek innovative approaches
Track record of developing and maintaining strong senior stakeholder relationships
Experience of reporting, compliance monitoring and data visualisation
Experience of process/workflow design and implementation
Experience of senior stakeholder management and presenting to senior stakeholders
Strong regulatory knowledge and awareness of requirements driven by regulation (i.e. Strong project management skills, holding others to account through effective tracking, monitoring and clear communication
Excellent time management and organisation skills, able to prioritise tasks using judgement to manage/escalate issues. Strategic thinker being able to discern themes from multiple sources of information to formulate broader agenda and see it through to implementation
Stakeholder management and leadership, demonstrated ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organisation
Strong analytical skills including experience of turning data into insights
Highly proficient skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Structured / scientific thinking and tenacity to drive for improvement
Commercial awareness and acumen with the ability to plan and deliver improvement activities
