Description
Job purpose:
Safely deliver the provision of warehousing services to encompass incoming goods, storage, stock control, assembly and dispatch service to customers both internal and external in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities:
(Key Tasks)
- Receiving goods inwards: checking orders and storing.
- Despatching orders: picking, checking, packing, and shipping.
- Processing and recording of documentation where required by operational processes and regulations.
- Carry out and assist with logistics and customs duties.
- Booking of transportation.
- Recording of weights and dimensions for freight forwarding.
- Advise of any discrepancies relating to stock quantities or locations etc.
- Carry out operations to maintain Cycle Count Program to Forum policy and assist with the management of said program
- Forklift driving.
- Carry out preuse maintenance and user checks of the Vehicle/FLT held within the complex, reporting faults to the Distribution/Operations management.
- Ensure work areas are kept to a high standard including the serviceability of equipment situated therein.
- Adhoc local deliveries & collections.
- Effectively manage, work allocation and prioritisation of daily workload.
- Make recommendations to management for process improvements.
- Carry out health and safety duties as directed by line manager.
- Carry out any other stores/ driving duties as directed by line manager.
- Ensure that the quality, health and safety management systems are followed and problems identified and reported and recorded in accordance with company policy.
- Regularly review relevant QHSE procedures/processes/risk assessments /COSHH assessments, work instructions in order to ensure they reflect present working practices.
- Quality Assurance (QA) of equipment including Inspection of each component part to align with quality standards and preparation/recording of certification packages as required.
- Advise promptly on all Facility and Assets, safety, technical and operational matters, problems or requirements.
- Advise promptly on all personnel, training and development, safety, technical and operational matters, problems or requirements.
- Be responsible for the understanding and development and health, safety and welfare of themselves and the team.

- Receivables
- Put aways
- Picks tickets
- Shipping
- Cycle counts
Quality assurance - All staff are responsible for the completeness of their work and reporting any quality, or perceived quality problems through their line manager or direct to the QHSE Manager.
Education/Qualifications (essential):
- Secondary school qualifications
- Forklift licence
Key Skills (essential):
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to understand and work computer based operational processes and systems
- Customer focus and team player
- Understanding of deadline achievements
Experience (essential)
- Background in store keeping
- Background or knowledge of logistics
QHSE Competencies:
- Maintain behaviour in compliance with FET HSE requirements.
- Maintain responsibility and accountability through personal commitment and behaviour.
- Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to their immediate Supervisor such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk.
