You would be joining an ambitious
top 60, 15 partner practice at a time when the General Practice team, in particular the Outsourcing team is growing.
Although there are 165 employees across the firm
you would become part of a 17 strong Outsourcing team, steppinginto a busy bookkeeping opportunity which has just become available due to internal promotion.
That
bookkeeping experience you have been building up
along with the AAT studies you have under your belt (no need to be fully qualified yet) will be put to good use providing support to 3 managers,
looking after your very own clients (approx.6) carrying out a mixture of weekly, monthly,andquarterly bookkeeping.
We know with
your ambition you may not want to do
bookkeeping forever so with the support of the team you will be able to get stuck in with the
preparation of VAT returns, for the Manager to review and liaising with clients on a regular basis building relationships, trust, and rapport.
Because you have around
two years, bookkeeping experience you know the scope of the role: reconciling bank accounts, posting receipts and payments, paying supplier invoices, preparing sales invoices, posting disbursementsand month end journals and you have already got your head around accruals and prepayments.
ontinue developing, is your knowledge of tech, in particular Xero.
We love a bit of Xero here at Carter Backer Winter LLP and the ad on's available, you will be dealing with Xero queries from clients,answering questions they may have and walking them through processes and working with other systems including CCH, Dext etc.

Our standard working week is a 35-hour week on a hybrid basis (two days home, three days in the office, after success completion of probationary period) and hours are flexible between 7am - 7pm

As with any job we think there are a few things that would help you succeed from the start, these include:
Studying towards your AAT Level 3 or level 4would be perfect
Bookkeeping knowledge - bit of an obvious one, you will need to have proven experience of undertaking bookkeeping duties, your current role may not be 100% bookkeeping but you enjoy this element

Technical skills
- Experience of working with Xero (xero certified would get us doing a happy dance), and an interest in technology
Experience within an accountancy practice - this would be helpful as you would be looking after more than 1 business providing bookkeeping services
